Carl Orff - Carmina Burana
Carmina Burana is, without a doubt, the most famous work by Carl Orff, composed in 1935 and 1936. First staged in Germany, in the Frankfurt Opera house, the Nazi regime was uneasy about the erotic tone of some of its poems, at first. However, the Nazis eventually embraced the piece and it became one of the most famous works of music at the time. It is mostly known for being the soundtrack for the Old Spice advert.
