Gedi Sibony

Gedi Sibony (New York, 1973), restores his material and often leaves them the way he found them. The changes he does make seem playful and accidental. The artist’s studio exhibits all sorts of materials, from metal pipes and vertical blinds to plastic sheets and plywood. Sibony has a both a metaphysical and political message, stating that civilisation is in a frantic system of production and ends up leaving behind a lot of materials.
