Parque Eduardo VII with view towards the Tagus River
The Eduardo VII park honours the king of England (1841-1910) due to a visit the king made in 1902 to strengthen the alliance between the two countries. In the park there are two hothouses, one called the Estufa Fria and the other the Estufa Quente. The latter houses plants, ponds, cacti and some tropical birds whilst the former has a variety of exotic plants, creaks, palm trees, waterfalls, flowering bushes, among other things.
