The Sunfish, being fed by hand by its carer, is the largest bony fish in the world, reaching up to more than 3 metres in length and weighing over 2 tons. It is a docile creature, which frequently lies on the surface of the water letting itself be dragged by the force of the current. Its slow movements make it an easy prey for fisherman, causing their population to be in decline.
