Conserveira de Lisboa

Fish may not be your thing, but it’s this shops speciality, and even if you’re not aiming to buy, this epic shop is worth a visit! Hundreds of hand-wrapped colourful tins with Portuguese fish, fill the shops walls. It opened in 1930, selling all kinds of foods, however, during the Second World War, the demand for conserved fish developed very quickly, which helped this brand grow at a fast pace. Its glory lived for few years, as frozen goods substituted conserved ones, forcing this shop to focus on a niche of high-quality products, with an interesting and classical presentation.

Luvaria Ulisses

Since its foundation in 1925, this shops’ decoration has remained intact, with its empirical-style furniture and its neo-classic facade. Luvaria Ulisses started creating and selling gloves that satisfied the most demanding tastes of society at the time and has, since then, established itself as a shop that commercialises a high-quality product. In all colours, shades, made in leather or with cashmere, with prints or plain, this glove shop guarantees to keep your hands warm and wonderful.

A Vida Portuguesa (The Portuguese Life)
