Disabled facilities in Lisbon

Many changes have been done in the city, but still Lisbon is not renowned for its disabled facilities, although efforts are being made to change this situation, particularly with regard to the pedestrian access of the city. If you are lucky you will find that there are some access ramps for wheelchairs.

Hotels however, have taken notice of the requirements of the disabled. There are many good hotels with excellent access for wheelchairs.

In the Expo Park you will have no difficulty getting around as there are sufficient ramps and elevators where necessary.

One of the good services available in Lisbon is the 'Dial-a-Ride' a disabled bus service for those with limited mobility, which you can contact through the number: 21 75 85 676. There are companies that provide services for people with disabilities, providing guided tours around the city and the main tourist attractions, so that nothing is missing during your stay in Lisbon.
