The restaurants and bars of the Olissippo Lapa Palace are institutions among Lisbon’s cognoscenti. The Lapa Restaurant offers the highest quality Mediterranean cuisine, with distinct Italian flair. The ambiance is elegant and the spacious dining room is filled with light. Weather permitting, the terrace makes the experience even more spectacular, especially at night, with the twinkling lights of the castle on the opposite hill and the boats on the dark river. The restaurant is open for lunch from 12:30 to 15:00 and for dinner from 19:30 to 22:30.

The Rio Tejo Bar is a firm favourite for lighter fare or an informal drink. This is one of Lisbon’s most beautiful and exclusive retreats, with an intimate terrace overlooking the Tagus River. For afternoon tea there is a choice of more than 40 different teas and from 19:00 there is live piano music every evening apart from Sunday. It is open from 10:30 to 01:00.

During the summer months the Pavillon Restaurant is open at the outdoor swimming pool from 10:30 until the end of the afternoon. From here fresh fruit juices, cocktails and home made iced teas are served, together with light fare, such as sandwiches, salads and seafood.

The 24 hour room service is one of Lapa Palace’s greatest treats, with the choice ranging from fantastic breakfasts, salads and cold snacks to starters and main courses such as fresh fish, as well as the sweet decadences of the pastry chef.
